About the Role

Are you hoping to play a key role in creating and implementing environmental strategy in the mining and resources sector? Focusing on rail sustaining capital and significant projects, you will play an important role in maintaining compliance, implementing sustainable practices, and promoting environmental excellence.

Key Criteria

As the successful candidate for the role of Senior Environmental Advisor, you will meet the following criteria:

• Assist in the formulation, communication, execution, and oversight of our environmental strategy, aligning it with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Collaborate closely with leadership, clients, project managers, and staff across various projects, providing strategic guidance to ensure optimal environmental outcomes.
• Develop, assess, and manage various approvals and management systems, ensuring their effectiveness and compliance.
• Take advantage of opportunities to visit different sites across Western Australia, gaining firsthand insights and contributing to on-the-ground environmental management.
• Mentor and support junior members of the environmental team, fostering their growth and development.
• Integrate seamlessly with project teams, offering timely and tailored strategic advice to address environmental considerations.
• Ensure all environmental management activities are carried out in accordance with legal requirements and company standards.
• Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related field.
• Demonstrate technical expertise in conducting environmental impact assessments and securing approvals, particularly in the Pilbara region and its environs.
• Have a solid understanding of current State and Federal Environmental Legislation, ensuring compliance in all activities.
• Exhibit a collaborative mindset, capable of effectively engaging with diverse project teams to achieve common environmental goals.
• Willingness to travel to project sites on an as-needed basis, demonstrating flexibility and a hands-on approach to environmental management.
• Proficiency in GIS, enabling the identification and mitigation of environmental impacts, management.
