The Senior Buyer will play a crucial role in project procurement strategy development and implementation, providing invaluable insights to support our corporate and project objectives.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project procurement strategies aligned with corporate goals.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Delegate tasks and prioritise objectives within the team.
- Ensure procurement processes comply with policies and best practices.
- Lead project teams to achieve milestones.
- Mentor junior staff for professional growth.
Key Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Extensive experience in procurement, with a focus on both engineered and non-engineered items.
- Demonstrated ability to lead procurement projects from inception to completion.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex supply chain issues and propose effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in relevant procurement systems, processes, and tools.
- Prior experience in a leadership role, with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
