About the Role

Join a dynamic team with a proven track record and stable foundation. Contribute to and actively participate in the growth and expansion of the Environmental Management and Approvals Discipline. Take a leading role in driving team growth and collaboration across diverse sectors, including resources, private and government entities.

Key Criteria

As the successful candidate for the role of Principal Environmental Specialist, you will meet the following criteria;

• Coordinate environmental approvals and compliance obligations for diverse clientele across various sectors, encompassing both new ventures and existing facilities.
• Apply a risk-oriented approach and operational expertise to enhance practical and eco-friendly solutions for clients.
• Oversee the attainment of high-quality project objectives within budgetary constraints and adherence to timelines.
• Craft project proposals that advocate for inventive, pragmatic, and sustainable outcomes tailored to client needs.
• Foster the well-being, growth, and resource allocation of team members.
• Engage in client relations and foster business growth initiatives.
• Actively contribute to business group activities through regular participation in meetings, workshops, training sessions, and strategic planning.
• Opportunities for fieldwork and engagement with stakeholders in the private sector, resource industries, and government sectors.
• A high level of knowledge and understanding of Western Australian and Federal environmental legislation, including a high degree of familiarity with the Mining Act 1978 and Environmental Protection Act 1986.
• Essential to have a tertiary engineering or science degree mostly in Western Australia, in a similar role within industry, consulting or government.
• Preparation of Mining Proposals, Mine Closure Plans, Part IV & V approvals, and Commonwealth approvals experience desirable.
